Appointment Check-In

The Appointment Check-In app requires an iPad or other tablet to run. On the iPad, open Safari or a new tab and navigate to the web address url: https://secure.remxchange.com/checkins/XXXX/PatCheckIn. 'XXXX' is your account's 4 character identifier. The Check-In screen should now be displayed and ready for use.

The patient/customer check-in screen allows for the entry of a person's first and/or last name only. To submit their entry, the user presses 'Check In' which then logs the name entered and exact time of day into the appointment staff's user screen.

If your office would like to 'lockdown' or restrict access on the iPad to only this app, you can do so by enabling 'Guided Access' (kiosk mode for iPad).
   - Select Settings - General - Accessibility.
   - Select Guided Access in the learning section.
   - Turn on Guided Access.
   - For Passcode enter something you will not lose or forget (this cannot be recovered).
   - Run the ReminderXchange Check-In App.
   - Triple-click the Home Button.
    -A 'Guided Access Started' notification should display. The iPad is now in Guided Access or 'kiosk mode'. To end out, triple-click the Home Button and choose 'End' and enter the passcode.

The appointment staff user's screen is accessed by clicking 'Check-Ins' at the top of any screen when logged into your account. This screen shows all people who have checked in so far for the day. This screen/list automatically refreshes every 10 seconds and can also be printed out by clicking the Print button at the bottom of the screen.

There are 2 options to control how many names are listed on the page. The default is 'Show All' which does not filter out any names. It displays all that have been logged or checked in for that day. The other option allows a user to only show those that have checked in within the last number of hours specified. For example; if this is set to '2' then only the people who have checkecd in within the last 2 hours will display.
